Very cool grain with interesting growth rings showing. Darker the the usual Ancient Kauri wood.

The Ancient Kauri will occasionally pick up some interesting qualities from the thousands of years buried underground, particularly just underneath the bark (the outside of the log). This provided for the unusual growth-rings and dark color-tones in this piece.
