Super-curly and burly-grained Ancient Kauri wood in this chunky piece.
Heavy and dense, is has very strong iridescence throughout!
Note: There is a deep large bark-inclusion on the face of this piece. Also note the wonderful textures in the area from the areas where the bark was!

This bowl is 4 inches high and 5 1/2 inches is the largest diameter.
This bowl has thick side walls and is suitable for re-turning on a lathe if this interests you.
