Ancient Kauri Bowl 301

Natural edges with the typical exotic textures in the top edge.

Deep color-tones in this piece, which is a characteristic of Ancient Kauri wood that comes from the area of the tree-trunk just underneath the bark. It has been stained to this deep hue after thousands of years buried in the ground.

Nice iridescence showing a great shimmer in this piece. While beautiful in it’s current state, if desired, this will polish and finish-up to be a true beauty!

Note: There is a check in the face of this bowl. Please examine the photos and video. This check is now “stable”. It opened when this bowl dried.

This bowl is 5 inches high and 6 inches is the largest diameter.

This bowl has thick side walls and is suitable for re-turning on a lathe if this interests you.

From the 2021 Collection, one of 350 bowls.

When this bowl is sold, it will never be replaced.
